The Old Fashioned
Cocktail Co.

Challenge

We worked with Founder Dwayne Keany to create a distinctive brand identity and website for The Old Fashioned Cocktail Company – a high-end mobile bar hire company with a focus on classic, smoked cocktails and vintage prohibition-era style.

Our research into New York’s bar scene revealed that whilst the city has its fair share of speakeasy bars, they were hidden away on backstreets and in cellars. That was necessary during prohibition, but it’s not any more.

Approach

We realised that we could differentiate The Old Fashioned Cocktail Company from traditional speakeasies on the basis of convenience. So we developed a brand identity around the concept of ‘the speakeasy that finds you’. We also tapped into the significance of making memories as a key motivator for event organisers with the company vision: To create experiences people will savour in the moment and remember forever.

For the website look and feel we used a dark colour scheme paired with videos and images of Dwayne’s smoked cocktails, to reflect the mystique and atmosphere of a speakeasy bar. And we devised a blog content strategy focused on increasing brand awareness and boosting web traffic, with SEO-optimised articles offering tips and advice to would-be event hosts about cocktail serves, spirit selection and much more.

I absolutely can’t recommend these guys enough – they took what was a very raw concept and grasped my vision to perfection from the get go.
