Our research into New York’s bar scene revealed that whilst the city has its fair share of speakeasy bars, they were hidden away on backstreets and in cellars. That was necessary during prohibition, but it’s not any more.
We realised that we could differentiate The Old Fashioned Cocktail Company from traditional speakeasies on the basis of convenience. So we developed a brand identity around the concept of ‘the speakeasy that finds you’. We also tapped into the significance of making memories as a key motivator for event organisers with the company vision: To create experiences people will savour in the moment and remember forever.
